In COM 142, students learn audio production techniques and equipment operation. They practice basic script writing, editing and producing commercials, public service announcements, and newscasting, with practical application in a studio setting by working at WPCD, Parkland’s 10,500-watt FM radio station. COM 141 Basic Broadcast Announcing is a prerequisite to this course.

The following entries are examples of work from past students of the class.
