This project is funded by the Center for Global Studies, the European Union Center , the Russian, East European and Eurasian Center and the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with Title IV funds. Fifteen faculty from the departments of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine and Applied Arts representing twelve different fields participated in this year's initiative whose theme was "Interdisciplinary Collaborations." As in past years, participating faculty redesigned course materials and created new assignments and activities to further Parkland's General Learning Outcome of Global Awareness. In doing so, they highlighted work from the European Union, Russia, Eastern Europe, Eurasia, East Asia, and the Pacific. These new course materials are described in their individual reports, almost always followed by assignment and activity instructions and rubrics. It is our hope that continuing to upload these results on this online repository will continue to benefit other community college faculty, educators, and scholars of education.
