Abstract
Fluoxetine hdrochloride, more commonly known as Prozac, is classified as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and is used to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, and bulimia nervosa. This poster for the Natural Sciences Poster Session at Parkland College provides the chemical makeup of the drug, and describes how the body reacts to the medication.
